Hey guys, been riding/ for about 14 years now and am thinking about crossing over to the dark side.... all of my 2-wheeled background has been on either dirt bikes (raced MX), and sportsbikes (on road and track). I hired a harley over in Hawaii and went for a cruise around the island, and it gave me a new perspective on bikes... it was relaxing! So I'll be in the market for one once my enduro bike sells.

Whlst some might consider the sporty's as girls bikes, I'm really liking the 48 as a good base to create the bike I want. Is there anywhere that will allow me to hire one for a weekend or similar? I've checked all of the bike/harley hire shops and none have any 48's available. I know I can book in for a dealer test ride, but not sure that 30mins sitting in traffic is really going to tell me if the 48 is the right bike for me...

Talk to your local dealer , I'm sure they would come to the party if ya request an extended test , pretty sure they even advertised it at one stage ?

I love the look of the 48.... She is not a girls bike! She looks fantastic....so go for it. A chap at work parks one next to me and it looks and sounds sweet. Plan B for you could be an old skool FXR perhaps...lol
