I've now got almost 2k on the trip meter with plenty more miles to go. Saw an Emu vs car on the Sturt yesterday and just missed a snake today apart from that the ride has been awesome.

Consider the Union Hotel at Nhill.
- as close as you get to halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne.
- publican likes bikes/Harley's
- he let a bike in the bar (no burnout though)
- they have 20 rooms, some high end with ensuites and some normal pub rooms.
- they have a big fenced off and covered party area out the back of the pub, similar to Lascelles. It has a BBQ (with gas?).

- 3am licence.

Otherwise the pub at Lucindale (SA) could be a go.
