G'day and welcome lurker501 , yeah I don't mind them even in the mat sand camo duco and reckon denim black and denim silver or white decals would also look ok , I think they achieved the 'theme they set out to achieve all up pretty well . Yeah Mike , seeing I was only born in '72 , it would of been like losing an arm or an old mate letting the well used ol'dyna go ? Bike manufacturers all seemed to struggle to find motorcycle rear ends that were cool or pleasing to the eye back then and even now , only so much ya can do in that area but too me HD has always been a leader hence the many that still copy and release their versions of it , regarding the Fat Bob rear can anyone confirm if this style of rear or similar was used on a Euro Only model release in recent years , thought I seen a pic of one , possibly even on this site , drew many WTF's back then too ? Thanks for sharing ya pics and info fellas , Cheers
Not keen on the diagonal stripping on the tank it just doesnt look right, without the strip looks great.
Also like the twin front disk setup, they should have twin disk on all Harley's
Cant wait to see em all in the flesh meself and hear and read about the new model and the engine mods ! Hey Pauly for someone who repeatedly exclaims their dissatisfaction for the new old duck shoved take on the Fat Bobs rear end you seemingly sure are in'FATuated with draggin' da mat sand camo pic of it up hey , is there somethin' ya not tellin us here , ya got ya deposit down yet , it's ok , we won't tell anyone haha ? Just kiddin' thanks for bumpin'it up again , I like it too , not that I'm in the market to buy one , I'm stickin with me drab silver pearl Roadie ! I reckon the wheels with that stipe and logo decal font , make the wheels and rubber look extra Fat and correlate well with that of the tank , as does the twin tail light chopped rear go with the twin head light front ! I personally don't like the exhaust but reckon the gloss of the fork leg lowers , trees , risers , mirrors , air cleaner cover and the shroud over the rear shocks , the frame and swing arm help break up all the mat finnishes and think that the 'racing stripes decal are also a nod to the same era as the chopped rear end ? Cheers
I agree I thought that they made the Fatbob ugly , rear taillight and stripes yuk , but after looking on the net , youtube and every advertising I could find ,it grew on me .
Ordered vivid black on Friday should have it in a few week will post some pics when I get It
Seen the new 2014 Street Bob today in the colour of Charcoal Pearl what a sweet looking colour on this bike a change from black bikes we always see.
I just purchased the 2014 Fatbob in black denim. I personally like the new look although im still not 100% sold on the red stripe. Will see if it grows on me otherwise ill get it resprayed and add a HD badge. Cant wait to add black V&H pipes and some cosmetic mods.
Congrats on the new ride mate ! Make it your own and enjoy it like nothing else , its only paint hey ! Maybe a denim silver or denim white decal like the rims or even gloss vivid black on the denim black ?
I think black pipes would make a huge difference ! Cheers
I hated the look of the new fat bob when I saw it on the HD sight. Might have been the tan color in the picture. When I saw it in the showroom in the denim black I changed my mind. I still prefer the older one but I can understand why others like the new one now.
