Wow new colours on all the existing models! How does HD manage to be so innovative again and again year after year, well done to their design and engineering departments, knocked it out of the park again.

I bet Polaris aren't feeling so confident with the launch of their Indian brand now that they've seen what HD has in store for 2014 ... new colours.

All marque automotive manufacturers minimise changes from year to year. Making significant changes year to year wrecks brands, recognition, resale and sales in the long term.

I just checked out the 2014 leccy glide on the US site cause the Aussie site isn't up and running yet and it has heaps of different new features as well as paint. Looks good IMHO but i am biased.

And a big YES,  some of the touring range IS watercooled. It is called a twin-cooled model. I think only on FLHTK (electra glide ultra limited) and FLHTCUTG ( trike glide)  for now.

    Have a look for yourselves.

All the other models look nice. I love that purple color on the street bob... but the Fat bob? Ehhhh what have they done... Colors are bad and that tail light is naaasty.
So glad I got my 2013 Fat Bob.

So I guess dual cooling is about some oil whizzing around the exhaust valve, like an XR. Power up too(?) on the 103's From 98.7ft lbs @3,000 rpm (2013) to 97.4ft lbs @3,000 (2014)..oh sorry that's down not up. But when H-D spec the Rushmore option(?) you get 104.7ft lbs @ 3,250...................totally confused. Wonder what difference that makes out on the road?

Now I know what to do change the colour on my 2001 Dyna and then I have a newer model do think my bike would increase value in the market place by doing this lmao.

Btw not a fan of some of the new colours and what have they done to the Fatbob what was going through the design teams mind with that tail light it looks like crap.

I don't think they could have made the Fatbob any uglier if they tried! Did they get Homer Simpson to redesign it?

I don't mind the whole theme of the new Fat Bob , it's definitely different but its probably meant to be , I reckon the rear fender could even be shorter , I like how the wheels sorta tie in with the new tank decals , also the duck shoved look of the rear fender goes along with the recent chopped or bobbed cross retro cafe' styling trends with the LED dually tail lights tying it up well with the look of the dual headlight front , sure its not going to be up to everyone's tastes or expectations , but good to see the MoCo mixing it up a bit ?
A kool looking motorcycle in my personal opinion hey ?
I guess with new players on the scene and modern regulations we can probably expect to see even more changes , looking at the 2014 range and being more than biased , i reckon that you could test them all out and still settle for the HD Roadking , what a motorcycle !
    Cheers

I think its bloody disgusting. GLad I have an older one.

Looks like they found some of Erik Buells old RR1000 tail lights lying around and put em on for a joke.

Yeah it seems like it will strike a wrong chord with many , I think a few years back there was actually a European model released with similar rear end styling , back then I thought WTF , but this , although different fits the overall theme they have set out to achieve with the Fat Bob , just personal opinion and not that I'd ever be in the market for one , the exhaust is the first thing I'd hoyk ?

"Foremost among the announcements is the first liquid-cooled engine outfitted on a Harley touring bike called the Twin Cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 V-Twin. According to Harley PR, “Twin cooling cools the heads around the exhaust ports to deliver at or near peak performance under all operation conditions and temperatures.” This is achieved via a small 1.1 quart liquid-cooling system that routes through the downtubes to discreet radiators housed in the lower fairing louvers. Claiming the system will make less engine heat in stop-and-go traffic, it utilizes a higher flow airbox as well. Harley bumped up the compression ratio on the TC103 and installed a new cam aimed at improving low-end torque. The first two Harley motorcycles with the Twin Cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 engine are the 2014 Ultra Limited Motorcycle and the 2014 Tri Glide Ultra Motorcycle. There's also a 110 cubic inch version of the Twin Cooled engine available in the 2014 CVO Limited. . . . . . . . . "

Yeah talk about being 'driven/ridden to the drink , who would want the job of coming up with fresh ideas at the HD MoCo hey , no pressure ?
Though I'm pretty sure it is a revamped modern twist on a HD Euro blast from the recent past ?
Still it mustn't be easy hedging bets , tempting faith , acceptance or total rejection in bringing to fruition something different while trying to obligingly cater to ol'school and purist' tastes and continual expectations while attempting to create a fresh vision or ' theme on an already accepted , tried and respected foundation , theres only so much ya could do with the required elements of the arse end of a ride and ya only gotta look at what else is out there to see how hard other manufacturers have struggled for some fairly ordinary results , if not poor stagnant copies ?
The 2014 "Fat Euro Street Cafe' Bob Racer" has landed , almost ?
The new model paint sets , wheels , venting of the batwing , topbox and pannier mods , even the new intake air box cover also impact upon a once relatively unchanged taboo HD look , not too mention the factory cam upgrades and Twin Cooling , but they all do seem like practical and modern evolutionary changes , if HD wants to be seen as a leader in its field It has to move with the times to some degree sooner or later ?

So so so glad got my fat bob 2013. The reason I bought it was because it had that raw stripped mongrel look.

NOT THE CAFE LATTE 2014 LOOK

    GONNA KEEP MY 2013 forever
