My battery on my 2010 went flat and after charging the battery up I attempted to use my fob to disengage the alarm however it would not deactivate. I got my spare fob and same issue.

After charging my battery do I have to do something specifically to re activate the immobiliser?

Well Im back again. I have changed the batteries over on my fob and still no luck. I am going to the take battery out and get it tested. I have a power commander, street tuner and obviously the alarm connected. What do I need to disconnect first before taking the battery out.

Try disarming using the security code then I think it will reset.

    Before removing the main battery,

Turn ignition on and then remove the main fuse.
This will prevent the alarm going off.

    Above post is correct .

This is a little different , You will get less or no spark out of the fuse holder  when pulling the maxi fuse out .

    1. Turn igniiton ON

    2. Wait for engine start proccedure to complete. About 5 seconds.  ( A few chrips etc, the alarm is now off) .

    3. Turn OFF ignition.

    3. Pull Maxi fuse out.  (this has to be done within 5 seconds , otherwise the alarm will reset ).

When you have completed installing battery and connected cables to terminals ,  (I would do a quick test with meter),  just install the maxi fuse back in postion , start as normal, and your good to go !!!!

PS, for the sake of  $3  , put a new battery in your Fob !!!!
