    Hi All,

Have just finished mounting my L.E.D lights to my Sporty & getting rid of all the reflectors on the rear also.

I didnt want to mount my plate directly to my nice paintwork so i ended up using the mount that comes with the bike.

To start, I removed the 2 T40 Torx bolts in the side of the rear guard just behind the ind/stop/tail lights.

I undid the top mount No.2 philips head screw which holds my Fender bib in place, this then releases the two parts of the inner guard. One is the plastic No. Plate holder & the other is a metal plate that runs in an arc from one side to the other & supports the rear mudguard. I then unsrewed the 2 screw that hold the original no.plate onto the plastic guard, found the wiring & cut this away. Then i removed the cable from theplastic guardso icould remove it completely.  I then cut this piece down so i could use this instead of mounting directly to the Metal Beutuifully painted Guard.

I mounted the 2 L.E.D lights to my plate cut some holes in the original plastic guard so the wiring could come back to the centre where it originally went. I then fitted it all back together soldered the wiring & tucked it back where it was orignally in the little crevice where the orignal light was. The wires are tiny so they fit just nicely.

Bolted it all up & was rather happy with the result.

If anyone needs more info or photos let me know.

L.E.Ds cost me $6 from ebay & about an hours works.

    Cheers

looks really good, however i'd put a small reflector up under the guard to keep the cuntstables off your arse.

Don't worry about the reflector, Cops will get you because they can't read the plate!

    Looks good

@ GT1200 love it, maybe the coppers need to have a few more drinks.
@ Darkdesign thanks for your reply, I am always a little wary of the boys in blue, may have to find a small slimline one to fit on the lower section of my plate then!!

    Cheers all.
