    Hi guys

I've noticed that the self cancelling indicators on the FXST sometimes don't cancel and other times (mostly) do. I don't like the thought I might be tearing down a street with my left indicator going without my knowledge. I've looked in the Owners Manual and it doesn't really describe how they work. Can any of you knowledgeable souls out there help me out here?

PS (and unrelated sorry) Can someone tell me how to put images in the 'My Pics' link under the avatar. I have photos there and they are not the ones I want.

Yes they are based on vehicle speed, vehicle acceleration and turn completion.. If you go around a corner slowly they sometimes don't switch off straight away, but should after 20 flashes from memory. they will stay on if you are stationary.

Mines last years. i actually had my owners manual handy at the time and thats what the first sentence said word for word.

It sounded very basic and there is probably tilt and yaw sensors in the mix there also. Fugnose.
I looked in the service manual also and it said nothing, only show how to change things, not how they work.

you just need to get into the habit of checking them after you have made the turn, mine do the same thing and sometimes turn off to quick when going around big roundabouts.
