     Hi Guys

I'm hoping someone can tell me why a 92 Evo appears to be different than other models.

For example when looking at Air Filter kits etc the Mid-USA  parts book it will often say 90-91 and 93-99 but do not list 1992 , I must confess I have had no issues when dealing with Harley Dealers, its only when I try to order parts or kits online it seems to come up.

if anyone can explian, it would be appreciated.

    Cheers

    Drew

depending on what your ordering 92 up has breathers in the heads ,below that they breath from the crankcase that's why there is different air filter kits
the kit will come with what bolts you need banjo or not + maybe a few other bits

    Thanks mate.

I'm still not sure why it lists 93 on I would have thought all the carbed evos that breathe from the head were the same.
I notice the Ness stage 1 kits are the same 93 on
I think I'll just roll the dice and order one

    Cheers & thanks again

Do you have head brearthers already if you do the 93 kit will work. A friend of mine bought an 86 Softail and was told it had a 97 engine in it, it has no head breathers so I am thinking its probably a 87 motor!

Along the same lines as to why my 86 Evo is mixed up....I have a few Shovel part numbers on my bike.
