Hi all, I'm back with a 1986 Softail Heritage, I got it off ebay, only 10k away.

I think it was basically an "unfinished project"

Te previous owner had had the engine done with all the good bits, s&s crank, edelbrock heads, delkron crancase, cam, new wiring loom, furnel shocks.

The paint was OK an it was registerred till next March. But bad things were not starting with any thing less than 100% battery charge, way too noisey exhaust and no ignition key.

Road her home and next day wouldn't satrt, battery flat NRMA came out and we jumped it, he checked the charging and it was OK, so new battery and away (so I thought) dead again the next day, so checked the system out and the solinoid just fell apart when nipped up the bolts.

So waiting for a solinoid to arrive so I have begun to strip her down and repaint.

NRMA (RACV here) must go lowest bidder on their call out mechs these days. Recently was around when one came out to deal with a flat battery and he spoke absolute shit. If we didn't need the cage rolling so bad I would have told him to fuck off.

Forgot to say that I am a midlife crisis bikie just turned 60 in June, this is my 16th bike. Need a hobby so pick a likely looking bike off ebay do it up ride around get bored and geyt another one. Based at Caringbah NSW
