I little while ago I was watching AR and they did a copy of a broken indicator lense. They made a silicon mould of the original one and then melted the orange "plastic" and poured it into the mould producing a perfect copy. What did they use and what is the process for the orange placcy stuff, anyone know?

You can get the 2 part resin from Bunnings. Colour it with ink. Might take a few goes to get the shade right.

I use both of these suppliers and there websites are great for casting and moulding of these products I cant watch the link but if it was hot material they cast you need RTV silicone moulds, even a visit to the shop is great as these guys have examples by the truck load, even take the part with you

Always hated the big wide indicator bar, was gunna put a deluxe one on but I am not supposed to be spending money on this bike (yeah right)

So I had the idea of removing the indicator bar, buying a couple of tombstones, mount one on each of the saddle bags and use them as indicators. The idea was to make a template of the red tombstone lens and cast some in orange, tada something a bit different. Hence the question on how to.

Of course now that I have released my brilliant idea it will become the new craze!!

And no I wont be welding any of it!! Hahahaha
