Howdy Peoples bit of a ask but here goes as i moved into the CBD recently i have taken all my tools etc up to my streaky property and i have no space either to work on my bike so is there anyone on here that has the tools and space to let me fit my shotgun shocks up and seeing i'm a shit spanner maybe a little help or guidance. I beleive you sort of need two people to hold the back wheel up and connect the front bolts so i was hoping seeing its still shitty weather maybe someone may be able to help .
Cheers Wayne
FFS ! it's the easy jobs that cause problems. Brought myself a backrest and got halfway though installing the docking kit, rounded of both tork bits that I have. Has anyone got a decent set? I could ride to you with the new bolts and would only take about 10mins to fit them. Will also need a 13mm spanner, but I can bring one. Sorry to be a pain, otherwise I will go but a new set.
Hey Graeme, I'm in Melbourne until Sunday lunchtime. Come over Sunday afternoon if you like. I have all the tools. Suburb = Felixstow. PM me for address details.
Hey GT, give me a call or PM me. I've got torx bits, fairly decent too. I'm home after 2pm Sunday if you want to do it at my place.
If by torq bits you mean Allen keys I have plenty and am home sat most of the day.
suburb is golden grove.
Happy to help
dont know how to PM someone
Cheers Bob. Tork are the star shape Allen keys that HD put everywhere to make things difficult. I just need to get some decent ones as the cheap ones brake or round off easy. Thanks for the offer, but I will catch up with softtail Sun arvo.
Funny thing is my missus was not real keen on getting on the bike, went to buy the backrest, "nek minit" she's picking out a jacket and got a new helmet on order. Might not be able to get away from her now!
Torx bits are a star shaped arrangement, Bob.
Oops...................SNAP!
To PM someone hit the little PM button under their avatar. Cheers
Cheers fellas
amazing what you can do when you open your eyes and look. PM button does say PM fark that's clever.
got a set of those torx bits too but are probably crap ones . You only ever find out they are dodgy when you need them most.
GT re the missus on the bike be careful what you wish for. You may get it. Hehe
seriously tho is great she wants to get out and share your passion for the road and bike. Enjoy .
Hey Ash, left a message for you, I brought some more bits today so jobs done. Next problem was I rounded another old one and found the new one had 3/8" drive ( only had 1/4 or 1/2" ) FUCK!
Thanks again to all that offered help much appreciated.
