If I wasn't still on baby standby, I'd have loved to get out on a ride with you guys. Lucky I went for a bit of a ride yesterday afternoon after re registering it for another 3 months. This weather has been great the last few days, wish I could make the most of it too.

Jobs done... The paperwork said it was easy?????????? WTF. I had some questions about the wisdom of some of the instructions. Mainly the mounting holes for the compressor. You are supplied with 2 x 7/16" cap bolt to mount the compressor bracket to the underside of the Trans housing. In the instructions it states to drill out and tap the hole with the supplied Tap, no drill supplied and it requires a U size drill. Yep no wucking furries. The problem is the mounting bosses for the bracket are the mounting bosses for the Charcoal canister (US), it has 1/4" tapped holes and there is not enough meat in the boss to drill out the hole to take the 7/16" Tap. And I didn't fancy drilling out a hole with a hand drill, especially into the trans housing. After careful discussion and searching other forums it was decided to use 2 X 1/4" bolts rather than the 7/16". It holds fine.

Fish is happy, he's out with Nomada testing it out.

Big thanks to Tim SG and Nomada for the help. They got their hands dirty whilst Fish offered pearls of wisdom with the advice. All up about 4 hrs from start to finish. The rear mounting bolts on the factory shocks are a pain to get out. Heat gun and a ring spanner does the job but ever so slowly. Especially the exhaust side bolt. I can see why some people advise using a ratchet spanner as there is very limited room to move.

Pretty impressed with the system and the quality of the build as well. Adjustable ride height and rebound on the move.

I just came over cause I though Fish was bringing the beers.
I searched all over AJ's shed to no avail.

The test ride after was short but sweet and more importantly nothing fell off and from the rear she seemed to easily soak up all thoses little bumps that had my arse off the seat of my sporty a couple of times (have to remember to back the preload off).

Adelaide got some great roads if they were maintained a bit better.

    Anyway, enjoy Fish.

Good on HD Forum Aust . If it wasn,t for this Forum , then none of us would have even met , let alone going around to someones shed , to help another out . Pooling resources at it,s best .

Norm , I worked out there was no beer , so I legged it to the pub .

Wish I was there to assist, or just to have a look & learn today. It would have been a good excuse to just jump on the bike and see you all in action. Oh well, maybe another day then. It was a perfect day for cruising, & I saw lots of other lucky bastards taking the opportunity of getting their knees in the breeze, while the wife & I were heading up to the Barossa visiting family this afternoon. Oh well, hopefully I can meet you Fish another time, maybe on on of our typical Saturday or Sunday cruises.

P.s I'm still waiting on the arrival of bubs, hopefully by mid this week. Will keep you guys posted on arrival.
