    Howdy Peoples bit of a ask but here goes as i moved into the CBD recently i have taken all my tools etc up to my streaky property and i have no space either to work on my bike so is there anyone on here that has the tools and space to let me fit my shotgun shocks up and seeing i'm a shit spanner maybe a little help or guidance. I beleive you sort of need two people to hold the back wheel up and connect the front bolts so i was hoping seeing its still shitty weather maybe someone may be able to help .

    Don't you need the the adapter to take off the shocks from a softail?

     If you have any offers of help from other people Fish, I won't be offended, as I don't know when my wife will go into labor, & I guess after bubs is born, it might be difficult to arrange something.

    Fish according to the manual to take off the rear through bolts you need an attachment to get in between the mounting frame for the shocks and the swing arm. It is like a ring spanner with the other end to fit a 1/2"drive ratchet. However I have never taken off my shocks, it is just what the manual says. Someone might be able to chime in and offer better advice though.

    What year is your bike?

     Mate I am working all week but am free next weekend.  I have the bike lift and other tools etc but not the adapter.   Note the mounting bolt No1 That is a close fit between the swing arm and the frame.  

    Once the rear mounting bolts are off it is an easy job.

    AJ i will ask Blair at bikeworks tomorrow he should give me the right answer if i ask nicely and thanks for the offer as well as 06 softy ive got this covered just got to make sure we get the tools right .Thanks fellas.

    sorta tells me just normal spanners will do it it AJ but will keep checking to be 100% sure

    Mate no probs... I will get a gas axe if all else fails.... LOL...Have you figured where to put the compressor??? I should have everything you need. Barring the adapter. but I have a set of spanners that will fit... Just not sure about the torque to tighten them up.... We can sort that out on the day....
