Went ridin with a bloke on Sat that had a decomp button on the top of each head , left side . I have only heard of electric , or S & S easy start cams . Anyone with info on these types of de-comp for starting ?

The electric ones are a fancy new fangled gizmo, and the ez start cams haven't been around for that long. Manual compression released have been around for donkeys years, run them in my mild build. Def easier on the starter and in hot weather. Anything 10:1 and over should have them. ( Sometimes wish I had the electric ones tho!! )

    ^^^ +1
I get in the habit of pressing mine when I stop the bike so I can just walk up and hit the starter when it's time to go. Have missed a few times and pressed the head bolt, fucking hot bastard

My DR600 has a manual lever, works on opening an exhaust valve. So open exhaust valve, find top dead centre, and kick!
