OK I've been a long time lurker here and asked some silly questions.

But I finally pulled the trigger on a Harley this morning. It's an 2012 FXST with plenty of chrome and Big Radius pipes.

The only real extra I want is a 21" Reaper chrome wheel for the front. (See below)

Is there anywhere in Aus to buy this at a reasonable price? WOOOHOOO!

Good choice but yep, slowly slowly catchy monkey, You will get there. Practice slow speed turns to get used to the extra weight and rake, and clutch control so you don't stall midway through a corner or u turn and drop the new beastie. Enjoy.

Did u get it locally on the coast or down brisvegas?
As for your Reaper wheel, drop in and talk to Mal at Bikers Life on Aerodrome Rd in Maroochy. He seems to do some pretty good deals, also Just Imagine It on Nicklyn Way Currimundi. Sunshine Coast Harley will also be able to get it for ya too. Or any of the crowds in brizzy. Shop around mate, you'll find it. We live out on the Kenilworth road, so might catch ya out and about somewhere.

Happy 'Cruising ol' crookneez , could almost hear ya ya'hooin from Sydney , read ya manual at least once and enjoy getting to know ya new family member top to bottom , look after her and cherrish the times ya have with her out on the open road , find an empty car park and practice ya fast stops n escape route take offs and also low speed manouvering , keep ya eye on tyre pressures and when riding scope all that is going on around ya , for starters until ya get to know her don't over cook it into bends , select ya gear and set up before entering , look through the bend as far as can see and wind it on through the exits , Congratulations on ya new purchase , definitely a long time coming but well worth the wait hey ?

Thanks everyone for the support. Yep I'm pretty excited after almost 12 months waiting. I'm not eligible for an open licence until 6th September so when it arrives I'll get someone to get it up to a local car park and do a refresher course. Should be fun.

I bought the bike out of the Hunter Valley and it's not quite 12 months old. The picture is below.

One of my gretest hurdles was wifey because she reckons I'm just a stupid old fart (she's probably right). It seems to have been a long journey over the past 12 months. A motorbike or Harley wasn't even on the radar until I bought the Motor Scooter. I had a license for years in NSW but haven't ridden for a few years.

One of the really great things about the members I've met on this forum is the support and the concern shown and I really appreciate that. I particularly pay attention to those concerns considering my age. You can count on my going softly softly when I get my license.

 Hi Tony, congratulations on your purchase mate.  I know that you had a bit of a hard time deciding on what bike suits you best. Nice looking ride, & it will look even better with that Reaper wheel. I've slowed up on future purchases for my bike due to becoming a future first time dad any day now. All the best for you and your bike, & I hope to hear of your many future riding adventures.

Crookneez has paid a deposit on this bike and it,s on ebay attracting bids . 3days to go , he thinks he,s picking it up Thursday . Alarm bells are ringing .

Unless the ebay seller is using the photos from bikepoint ?

 Yep Dead ringer for sure, I'd be getting on the blower right away & trying to get some straight answers from the seller if it was me. By rights the advert should have been taken down if money has changed hands on a deposit.
