I've got a broken bolt on the front forks of a 80s Wideglide.

The broken bolt is on the front fork and the bolt has snapped completely in half.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

If your asking how to do it, then its prob not a job for you. give us some more details and photos for better responses, also what area are you in? somebody local might be able to help out.

The bolt is at the very bottom of the front shock absorber:  Next to the front  wheel axle and the wheel.

There are two bolts down there next to the axle. One of them snapped.

That's a stud for retaining the front axle

That's the one, it retains a clamp over the front axle.

As Perthhog says it is threaded. If you can't get a grip on it then drill and easy out.

Easy outs..... Easy if everything works ok if not, not so easy ha ha broken drills or easy outs can ruin your day big time

But they are the tool for the job. If there is thread sticking out vice grips are the go or sometimes you can use a small centre punch to tap it around unscrewing it if loose ( in general I mean, not necessarily in this instance)

30 years doing this sort of shit..
