Howdy people been looking at these and i can't find any real negatives about this product and even did a search of these forums and just really find everything just full on positives , so whats the problem you ask ? Well i rang my shop in adelaide (not Harley Heaven) and he bagged em said they ride hard and only good if you want to change the height etc anyways he recomended that i should go progessive shocks much better less hassle ride better etc . I know he sells this product and does'nt sell shotguns he also said thst he would buy the legends if i was to go with the air ride but he still thinks the proggresives are the best fit for my bike which is 07 night train . Well whats peoples opinion here as i was set to go the shotguns and had a reasonable quote from JD but this has confused me a fair bit and the bottom line is i want a more comfortable ride than just the lowering bolts as they are hard as hell on the old body over bumps and i like the slammed look and i thought the air ride system was adjustable in both height and comfort so whos right here and whos wrong or is he just trying to sell me something from the shop . Would love to hear peoples thoughts on this .

    Many Thanks Wayne

I'd make sure your mate isn't getting confused with Legends Air Ride. Most stuff I've read about air ride rates the Shotgun stuff better than Legends.

He was pushing just a set of progresive shocks but was saying that if i want air ride i should go Legend but everything i read clearly points the other way but mainly i'm trying to find out is are the shotguns worth the extra and do they ride well or do all i need is to change over the shocks and dump the air ride idea .

All I can say is don't expect them to be as good as a well sorted hydraulic setup. At the end of day it's an air cylinder with a piston in the middle. You adjust air on both side to change height, stiffness etc. it's good real good and with the right tweaking you get it set real nice. But it's not full of hydraulic fluid, springs, metering valves etc.

    Cheers

Howdy i know there's a lot of people here that have had both and i would like them to give me there opinion basically if there's a definite advantage to go the air ride over hydraulics and also the people with the shotty are they comfy once you have tweeked the rebound because thats what i'm chasing and i do like the ablity to slam the bike and for me thats where the air ride wins.
