A man has died following a crash between a motorcycle and a light truck that closed the Barton Highway in both directions.

The accident occurred near the intersection with Boundary Lane in Wallaroo, about 10 kilometres north of the ACT-NSW border, shortly before 10am. It's believed the accident occurred in a southbound direction.

The male motorcyclist died at the scene, and NSW Police said the deceased man was yet to be identified, or his next of kin notified.

It's always sad when these fatals happen, Condolences to the family.

I just wished they would fix the fucking Barton Hwy. It just keeps taking lives, and not just bikers.
