spray with wd40, instert 1/2 drive bit or 3/8 drive bit in bolt, 1/2'' is better, smack breaker bar directly over bolt while putting pressure on bolt. 4 pound hammers are useful for this problem. if that doesnt work try again tomorrow after wd40 has soaked in. if you break the torque driver then you might need to buy one that does not have the hole in the middle. they sell them everywhere. when i said smack it with the hammer i meant to say hit it once as hard as fuck, or twice.

If you don't want to buy a decent one, take the wheel to the dealer, or your local mechanic and ask them to remove the hard little buggers. Otherwise i have a kingchrome set and haven't broken any yet. Try a little heat on them also as loctite might be holding them in.

The last set I removed I had to use an oxy' torch with a fine tip to soften the red Loctite that was used previously !!
My Kinchrome set are only 3/8" drive but seem pretty good.
Note WD40 wont do a thing when Loctite has been used.

After breaking or bending (like butter) 4 of them I got a Kincrome set and haven't had a problem yet. I bought mine in bunnings, which was about $12 cheaper than the same set in Autobahn.

A good alternative for loosening bolts with loctite is a butane soldering iron with a flame tip from jaycar. Have used the hot little fucker everywhere.

Cost 45 for the torch and 12 bucks for the can of butane.

You want to use an impact driver to jar them lose, WD40 or CRC over night will help to, before you use the impact driver.

Yep, the hub acts as a large heat sink, little torch won't do much.
Better choice is a heat gun. Will take a while, but it will get it done.

i use a heat gun and Snap-on Torx bits and dont have an issue, you will also need to make sure you are not "cocking" the torx bit off to one side as you try to undo it.

The best tips imo are heat, a quality bit, and an impact driver (supercheap, Bunnings, under $20). If that don't work call an exorcist.

And put a black dot (use a marker pen) on the bolt you're trying to turn so if it moves you can see it clearly.

impact drivers are a good thing, but in the wrong hands can make a mess of some nice chromed rims and rotors! If you have experience with one go for it, otherwise take it to somebody who knows how its done! Nothing worse than a deep gash in your rim!
