For all you blokes that ride ya sled around without internal head breathers, I suggest ya seriously get ya heads breathing to atmosphere and not back through the intake

Here is a set with internal breathers at 3000ks ( not the best pic)

1st pic looked like mine at 3000 but it was a little rich also.
106 is vented to ground as will the 124
can't see any reason not to do it

Yep. Mine is vented to atmosphere as well. It was how the Kurry Corsair kit came. :) I do get a small smell of fumes if stopped at the lights for a while, but nothing that bother me.

Have a look at HPI (Horsepower Inc) website, they do the Street Elite version of this, all bolt on stuff of coarse. I have one on mine, have had for a couple of years, works a treat for me.

May be somebody can gleen an idea from what I did from the pic's, just wished I had taken a pic of the crud on top of my piston crown's that propelled me into action.

Yes....But there is a fair bit of air pressure coming from the heads so any oil that settles will eventually get pushed to the catchcan. I have the same problem on my Evo and am installing a oil catchcan setup.

I have heavy breather air cleaner on mine. Does this mean my heads are vented back too the intake or not. Had my spark plugs out today so I could crank engine to get the bit of oil out. Plugs had a thin coat of off white on them. Has I got an issue.

Can I assume that the dealer installed the AF kit for you? if they did the answer is yes. Regarding your SP's white looking deposits mean your AFR is on the lean side, the correct shade should be light grey.

You will not able to tell if you have a large deposited carbon/crud attached to your piston crowns unless you 1. remove Heads or 2. view inside combustion chamber with possibly something like a borescope.

Thanks for the info Ando and Paulsails. I will have a closer look at the intake when I have time and maybe plum the breathers to the ground. I have been of the understanding thatmy bike could be tune better for awhile now. If the sp are a sign of running lean this just confirms my suspsions.
