Can anyone let me know if there is anything special with replacing and bleeding my brake lines on my 2010 FLHTK with ABS?
I'm at the point where $120/hr to service my bike is not on. I want to start doing things myself, but searching threads on this and other forums everyone's got a different opinion. I'm picking up my workshop manual tomorrow and hoping the straight forward answer is in there.
I'm no expert, researching your question you don't want air in the ABS module, some people recommend reverse flushing, see vid attached.
I've had a look at other you tube vids and they were done on a 2008 road king with a vacumme pump, looks easy enough. I don't know if they have ABS though. It'll do for the wife's 2008 XL 1200 though.
Thanks retro man, you've reinstated my confidence. I'll order the mighty vac and give it a go!
changed my lines on a heritege new master cyl and bled not a problem the trick is once its hard tape up your lever and let it sit over nite and any air you missed will come out
