I have just put a deposit on a 2014 breakout. This will be my first Harley and I'm pretty excited. Now for accessories, I am going to get big radius vance and hines pipes and a different air filter. As for a tuner, what do people suggest? I can get a screaming eagle tuner from a guy I work with as he upgraded to a different one as he said he didn't like it that much. I forget the one he has gone too. The salesman told me I wouldn't be able to use his old one as it locks itself to the bike it was first put on. Is there anything else people suggest?

Hi I have the SEPST, Screamin Eagle PRO Sports Tuner. I reckon it good. The salesman is correct as once they are loaded into bike ECU, it will have the bike DNA inside and cant be used on another bike, Or everyone would be sharing. Have a think about the Big Radius, as they are Cop bait ( Loud) Then again anything that's Not Stock will get you a Ticket. I did have the Big Radius but now have Sreamin Eagle Slip ons as nice sound 'and not to loud. I also have a Screamin Eagle Heavy Breather. Nice set up.

Thanks for your reply. I just remembered what the guy has that I work with, he has a thunder max tuner and reckoned it completely changed the bike over the screaming eagle. Those big radius pipes look awesome though.

Is the reach to the pegs about an inch shorter than the wide glide and fat bob? Just looking at the pictures on the website, the pegs look like they are an inch back towards the seat (which I reckon I would need for comfort... I'm 172cm). I'm not sure if the seat position is the same as the wide glide and fat bob though.

if the shop has no breakout to test ride then take vrod muscle for a ride as the position is very ssimilar 

It's more of a slightly forward position not a back leaning against a roll bag position lets say,

got a mate who has muscle and another with the breakout and they very similar in seating ppositions

slick bike though the breakout, I reckon the CVO wheels would be  good upgrade to the standard breakout

My breakout is here, landed late Monday. hope they do all their paper work or whatever they have to do so i can ride it.

Previously I was really liking the the Fat bob and wide glide (what have they done to the 2014 fat bob!!)... now I'm really liking the breakout in the chrome flake, and the softail slim in the daytona blue pearl. There's a ride day at the dealers in 2 months with the 2014 bikes. I reckon I'll put a deposit on either the slim or the breakout on the day!

I love the look of 2014 CVO Breakout... those wheels, LED head light, chrome bits. Bummer they are outrageously priced in AU and limited edition. Thought about standard Breakout with CVO wheels... maybe a possibility if the domestic finance department approves.

So what do you guys think of the breakout? I'm considering getting one and getting it delivered with the stage 3 kit done and big radius pipes, mini apes etc.

Love my breakout... am contemplating changing handle bars to a reduced reach type.... any suggestions?

Looking to put risers on mine... did you change your handlebars?
