So I had the Fat Bob dyno tuned the other day.

Came in at 84HP and 101TQ

The shop told me that it produced the best result they had seen for a non cammed bike.

    What do ya reckon?

good out come, bet it rides better all round after the tune. I suspect the shop wants you to feel good or they do many 103 stg 1, that is about normal for that set up.

Interesting.  I just got mine tuned and got 80hp and 100fp out of my stock 103 with SE Race tuner, heavy breather and D&D Fatcats.  Similar numbers but the curves are pretty different.  Blue is baseline run before the tune, red is after the tune...

     Cam is next

Yes its interesting to see what a similar bike dynos like.

The biggest difference is probably down to the pipe with the FatCat being a 2 into 1 its got a bit more meat down low by the look of it but seems to drop off faster than my setup. Is this the norm for a 2into 1?

I read that the D&D fatCat really wakes up with a good cam installed!

The stock header 2 into 1 into 2 makes good power (with the cat out) and sounds the business with free flowing mufflers. If your'e on a budget (as I am)  its a good option.
I didn't care for the sound of the Vance & Hines slipons with the cat still in.

My old busa could do 300kph+ so my harley don't need a tune....

Anywho, it's all in the tune. A good tuner can make or break a bike. Seems like okay results up the top, be nice to see the difference with a cam added.

rocky many of the tuning modules will be good enough for just pipes and A/C so no real need for the dyno if you put in the time doing your auto tunes.

Get on a japper any japper and stop the revs at 6000 and see how fun they are to ride. No good comparing a HD with any other bike they are completely different animals and almost every regard.
But don't under estimate the power potential of a HD. Just go out to the strip and have a look at what can be achieved on a street ride able HD, Busa killing potential

For me its not about how fast you go but how good it feels while your doing it!

A good running bike = "MORE SMILES PER MILE"

If youre lucky enough to get it running nice without a tuner then count yourself lucky - but then again you won't ever know how much better it might have run with some tuning.......

Mine needed richening up quite a lot down low to eliminate pretty bad decel popping from the pretty open pipes.

Bought the bike with the dealer Stage 1 download which just did not cut it.
