Well finally sold my share in the boat misses has a new job (that pays well) and getting fked around with the purchase of the Vrod I am going to keep the fatboy and do what I have wanted to do for 20 years.

so yesterday I ordered a 21inch Gasser front wheel (only doing the front for now) and a heritage front guard) should be here Friday. Have it booked in next week to be fitted up.

Today I am ordering a shotgun air shock (after I talk to my mechanic)

Glad to hear ur happy with keeping your fatty. it wouldve taken too big a loss to have sold it so soon. Enjoy the mods you are doing which will certainly personalise it. Sorry cant help re your question.

    hi

got the bike back today with the front wheel fitted and the heritage guard which still has to be oainted (i just flat blacked it tonight.

I love the wheel but dont like the look of the bike with the heritage guard, I dont know if it will look better painted the correct colour or the front end needs to be lower i do know the rear needs to be lowered it just dont look right.

I am thinking about npt ordering to shotgun shock for the rear and getting the rear wheel im not totaly happy with the look (actually i think it looks shit with the stock back wheel especially with the heritage guard).

    what ya reckon

I am thinking get the rear wheel minus the disk rotor and matching pully (cant afford all of t at the moment as the kitty is starting to run a bit dry ) and make some brackets for the stock fatty guard to fit

    or

Paint the heritage gaurd, lower the front and rear and see what it looks like.

P.S the bike rides so much better it steers beeter, handles better, has more ground clearance, doesnt get blown around in the wind as much.

I reckon it looks good either way, paint it up and keep both and change the look whenever you want.

It will look better with the matching rear as it will go to 18" and look more balanced

I just ran a progressive lowering kit front & rear on mine & ride was much better tgan stock.

As far as fender you might also want to consider a wrap style on it? They are cheap enough to buy off ebay

I've seen a few fattys with them and to me they look pretty good

But, like I always say, opinions are like assholes, every1's got one

    Cheers

I like the look of your bike with the 21 " wheel Hoges , prefer the slimmer guard with the pinstripe . Well done .
