i realise since the crash of the US economy a lot of manufacturers shut down and finding new and old parts, bling and mods are hard, in saying that there is still a huge market for evo bikes like my 1988 softy that seems to go begging?! or has it all gone to the local custom shops rather than the online purchasing that seems so easy for a more modern machine?

As far as a '94 goes, I find parts aren't too hard to come by, and I'm only talking availability, not cost. Mods somewhat harder to find (springer associated, especially), and hardest of all to find is bolt on 'bling', as you might call it.

So I think I know where you're coming from with your comments, contractor. I can only assume that it's not profitable servicing that market.

I have to admit, there's a lot I'd like to do to my bike, but not much I actually part with cash for....bit of a combination of poverty and stinginess really..

exactly what I thought fellas, I think I was born 20 years too late.

being that there are so many early bikes around I was sure some crazy chinaman or yank would have a market stitched up, as you say though CW, you spend time finding this gear and prices are way up there.

I've got a 83 built EVO FXST. 4 speed box.
I wonder if this problem is the same for Shovels.
I would assume you can interchange with later EVO parts but if what you say is correct, then all EVO's will have the same problem with lack of parts.
