Hey guys, I have been looking online and on shop websites trying to find a workshop/repair manual for a2008 Ultra Classic. There seem to be a few pdf. file downloadable ones on the web, but I really prefer to have the proper book one. I thought it would have been easy, but even the U.s. shops don't  show them available. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong sites.

    thanks steve

Get the original Harley Workshop manual, it has everything you will need to know about your bike and they are a reasonalbe price for a manual. Best $80 I have spent for a manual, first job you do on your own bike will cover the price of the manual, nothing like having a book to read from as reference.

Yep, I just bit the bullet and bought one from Peter Stevens. Had an online pdf version for my Dyna but was a pain in the arse going back to laptop to look at diagrams then back to bike to do work or printing out required pages which may have cost me more in the end after buying cartridges and paper.

l f you have a few spare pennys left in the cupboard shout you and your bike the parts manual as well, apart from the fact it will make it a lot easier to buy your genuine spares , it will assist you when you go to fit up the componets in the correct sequence , once youvé got one you will wonder how you survived

Mentioned in prev posts but I bought a Rocker new and ordered a parts manual and workshop manual to come with the bike on arrival.(the little basics owners manual that comes with the bike, when new, doesn't cover it all) You'll never look back.Money well spent etc etc etc.... Or if you are a trendy and don't know how to pump your tyres up,forget about it. Ha,or even a WANNABE!!!   Back on track.. I've often worked on my bike with the parts manual.Drawings (better than pics at times) can show hidden things you can't see from photo's.  But I still fuck shit up. All good though, experience is the name of the game.

I'll chime in as well and say the workshop manual is friggin fantastic! I don't want to pay someone every time I need to do stuff on my bike so the $75.00 odd dollars I spent on a manual was worthwhile... BTW, we all fuck shit up!! It's how we learn from these "experiences" that make us better people!!

Thanks everyone, Got onto Harley Heaven for the proper unleaded one from Harley Davidson. Like someone said, its a bit more expensive, but probably is going to more useful.

I have the cd version and just print out the pages for each job I "attempt" just not sure how different to the book it is?

Does anyone else use the Microfiche in the How-to section on here? Pretty handy.
