just wanting to know what is the grip out there for 1" bars to help eliminate the vibration. I currently have the standard Harley ones and it doesn't take long for the tingles to start. I have seen a few different ones that claim to be great for vibration, one is the ISO grips and another is a cheaper grip with leather instead of rubber. Hopefully someone has found a really good product that works well, also are those grips with the throttle boss a good or bad thing, cheers Steve.
Hi Steve, I have the Kuryakyn "Zombie" Grips, really comfy & stylish. I have the throttle boss as well & it's kinda handy on longish trips. Just gives you a chance to occasionally stretch the fingers when needed. I'd still prefer to get one of those cruise mate throttle locks though. Let me know if you want some pics of them fitted on my bike.
Vibration isn't really noticeable. Certainly a vast improvement over the standard hand grips.
ISO grips are best I been using them for years on my Harleys and Jap cruisers and Triumph when I owned them, just to give you a idea on the Jap bikes and Triumph they were fitted with bar weight's to help with the vibration but once the you fit the ISO grips no need for the bar weights anymore these grips keeps the vibration to almost nil, I always owned and rode cruiser style motorcycles and one of the first mods I do is fit these grips cheers.
I have inflamed Bursars in my shoulders which cause my fingers and hands to go numb. The only things i have found to make riding better for me (besides gettign an operation) is fitting a throttle lock such as cruise mate http://www.cruise-mate.com/ which i find the best for the price. And Ricor www.vibranator.com/ bar end weights. I use the stock grips (sporties have the smallest outter diameter) These 2 conbined have helped the most. Another thing to also consider is your gloves, if they dont fit right they can cause you issues. i recently got some deer skin gloves that fit perfect www.bearwallowgloves.com/proddetail.php ......

Thanks for the link Terristone.
Roland Sands Design grips I would have to say one of the best grips I have used and still currently use on my Fatboy Lo.
All the way to Tasmania and back no vibrations, excellent stuff, and no I didn't ride across Bass Strait the bike was on the ship :-)
Honestly they are best value for money in my honest opinion and they look great, not like most to the cheap plastic looking harley grips which fall apart.
thanks again everyone just in the process of ordering the ISO premium grips.
those gloves look interesting thanks
All the best with the grips, they were my first choice too when I was looking at purchasing mine, I just liked the style of the ones I purchased. My workmates has the ISO grips on his Softail and yes, they are very comfy.
+1 on the cruise mate for longer trips
Have rsd which are really good on the WG and a new set of isos for the sporty that go on this weekend :-)
