I  am looking to buy another bike & a friend told me of a 2004 Electra tourer with 10,000 k's for $18500.00 would have to be reregistered as bike is interstate, redbook upper price is $16200.00.

when you buy this bike and go to register it, Do you say you paid $10,000 to save on stamp duty??

that is why redbook prices are low

it is worth what you will pay for it, the current owner says $18,500, less up to $1,500 for haggle.

Take a look on US ebay and see what a 2004 " Bagger" raises that will give you a fright !! That's a 10 year old bike in August FFsake !

That was what I was trying to ascertain when i posted the question thank you, I understand everything is what someone is willing to pay for it, What I wanted to know was the sellers asking price realistic.

Way too much IMO. Try $14 grand. A lot has changed on this bike compared to later models
