O.K Heres the question I got a sportster 883 (iron)..And I need new pipes ,been looking around a lot and I find most use VnH nothing wrong with that but im looking for more options .Something yes well louder but do not want to lose performance,getting a big headache trying to find something ,I need some ideas ,anyone help ...ta

I have Vance & Hines side shots and I had to get the baffles put in.........but you'll need the performance commander with these pipes

personally I loved the sound of my short shots but they do hurt power. the best pipe for power atm is the patriot defender it doesn't sound loud at idle but it has deep note and its loud when you are into it. its good for being quiet past cops, they are also cheap (around $450 delivered).

I've got one of the original patriot defender 2-1 pipe which came with braided line and choke lever hooked up to the exhaust flap. Works really well and bike runs great with it. Mine's a fat boy though.
Hammer Performance have been dyno testing a few pipes on their 1250 sportster this year.
