    FROM THE HOMEPAGE

A FORMER police officer is forming a new No Speed Cameras Party and planning to run for the Upper House at the March state election to end their use as "revenue raisers".

Party leader Owen Godfrey as a police officer for 15 years and left the force 23 years ago.

He said he was an Acting Sergeant when he left the police force.

Mr Godfey yesterday told ABC Radio the party currently had about 60 of the 250 members who needed to be formally registered. It has also launched a website asking for $10 donations.

"I want the speed camera regime to be there for the purpose that it was meant for and that is for road safety … in the black spots," Mr Godfrey told ABC Radio.

"I think everybody out there in the public realises that this is just a revenue-raising scam.

"People have lost their licences, businesses or their jobs, their homes, their families and their mental health all because of the fact that we've got politicians that are basically coming up with policies ... (to) collect money for this financially inept and quite frankly morally corrupt government."

Mr Godfey said SA Police was "easily the best in Australia".

"Everybody and anybody can accidentally go over the speed limit by a few kilometres but the outrageous fines and the number of points that they lose is just way beyond the pale," he said.

Meanwhile, more than 3000 people have taken advantage of a new SA Police website , that lets drivers view photos from speed or red light camera fines, since the site went live last week.

Well, here in SA we don't seem to have as many problems as you eastern state guys seem to have. But this morning on my way to work an old Pintara / skyline was driving along side me, I was in my car too, and geez was that thing fucking loud!! Way louder than  mine or any other Harley I've come across over here on our roads. When I first heard it behind me, I thought WTF is that? That shit box is a certain candidate for a canary, and to wonder how much grief you guys get when you're out riding hey?

This is the biggest scam forced on the Australian (sheep) public ever ..
Lived in 3 states in last 6 years and can say WA is by far the biggest joke ...only policing the filth in the southern suburbs do is speed camera fines also have cameras every fucking where .. but the cop shops close up and go home at 3pm, only work Monday to Friday . Complain they have no money but should have fucken billions if they used the money they steal .
