     Hi All

Thinking of putting chrome drag bars on my Iron rather than go the standard black. Been trying to searh for photos of an Iron with Chrome Drag Bars to see how they would look but cant find any.

Anyone have this setup that could share a photo?

Can I also ask opinions on which are the better brands of Drag Bars?

Looks great Johno. Think I am leaning towards chrome. Looks like I may have to change the speedo casing as well.... the black one will clash with the chrome bars.

    What brand are the bars?

    Thanks Stones,

Bars are HD, speedo housing is HD and the speedo relocation bracket is accutronix from USA

Check out the my pics listed under my name on the page here to see how the speedo is set up with the risers and drag bar.

My broomstick bar is Flanders, it's black and was about a hundred bucks. Make sure you get knurled and dimpled
    I like black, black, black!

The chrome bar looks really good on the Iron. Refreshing to see something different to the blacking out trend. I think some chrome highlights do the Iron well.

     Hey Wildkatze,

good to hear from you, how's your iron going?

i made the headlight bracket myself by hand.

i used 6mm aluminium sheet then cut it out and shaped it up to the same dimensions and images a guy in the USA posted on the HD USA forum.

Then I etch sprayed and top coat black gloss sprayed it.

its not machine perfect, but it tends to disappear among the other parts on front of the bike and I think it looks a bit cleaner than the stock eyebrow.

let me know if you want some dimensions sent through to help you make one.

    Johno.

Yep, the dimples allow the wiring from the switches to get out without damaging any wiring.

Got mine of ebay for $25 - knurled and dimpled (you can get a bargain once in awhile).

    Black and chrome never fails!

     Hey Olaf,

thanks for the comments regarding the headlight bracket.

    check out lucidkustoms.com

they have a couple of styles to chose from, you could install this with the light hanging downwards, same as my set up.

i am looking to grab a couple of items from them, if there is anything you want, let me know and I will add your parts to my order and we could share the shipping costs.

i can pay and ship them in, then you can just fix me up when the parts arrive.

let me know your thoughts mate,

    catch up soon.

Thanks Colstah. Will keep in mind. At this stage I think I am leaning to Licks bar. They offer a longer bar which I prefer.
