I'm 56, ride a 2013 Fatbob. I come from Beveridge, just outside Melbourne on the Hume. Been riding since I was 17 and alas this is my first Harly (never could quite afford one before).

Welcome mate, it doesn't matter how long it takes you to own a Harley, it's half the fun having the dream to someday own one.  I hope you have many an enjoyable ride  in the future on your fatbob.

Welcome Gfew, there are many of us in this forum (me included) who could only afford their first Harley well into our middle ages due to various other more important priorities in life. Some green-eyed people may say "Bah, midlife crisis", but do I care? Its a great feeling!

     Hi Gfew

I was in exactly the same situation as you. Work like a dog for 25 + years.pay all the bills that come along. Then my beautiful wife says if you want one go get it.  Last week picked up my 2013 fatbob. Hehe she still can't believe I wasn't joking. How do you feel on the bike. Do you like the forward controls. I hadn't ridden a bike for many years jumped straight on the bob. Was a couple of funny FLINTSTONES moments at the lights when I put my feet down no pegs there. Lucky no one saw hehe. One week in feels like I owned the bike for years. If you have any pics love to see.

I know how you feel Gfew, after 2 decades of mostly 2nd hand older bikes because the money was being spent on the kids or the house loan it was certainly a great feeling to get that Harley finally.

    Welcome to the forum :)
