I put an EV27 in my 1995 evo and the difference from about 2000 up to 4500 was really noticable...I wanted something to give me that little extra when passing cars etc as I'm not a racer...

God I hope he means a EV27 as the EV7 Series is way too big for that motor - (it would be perfect for a high comp fully worked drag engine and would have a bloody small sweet spot that would reside high in the RPM range).

A good Andrews cam for a resonabley stock Evo is the EV3 or EV35 (the Ev35 has a longer exhaust duration so runs a little cooler in summer). This cam comes on around 3000 and will keep pulling to 6000+.

EV46 is also a good cam but I have always felt it needs a bump up in compression to get it singing.

lol....Well the EV27 is a good bolt in cam as well. Google it and you will see that its a popular unit for the Evo engines. You would be wise to make sure that you have a good free flowing exhaust system and a tuned up carb to get the most out of the unit.

Be aware though that you may notice more valve train noise with the cam; its just the nature of the beast and particlary with Andrews cams.

a EV27 cam would be good for someone that ride's around in red tight pushbike shorts

they say the red one's are always faster,   but not so  for Ducati @tm since our own Casey Stoner & Troy Balistic is not behind the h/bars anymore  in both world classes
