Hi all . I bought the below bike with the view to restore it enough to ride. It's a 1948 royal enfield re125 flying flea. It was built for WW2 to be dropped behind anemy lines and used by solders. A restored one sold for $7,000 some time back but I don't think I want to invest too much in it. I'm thinking a bobber style rebuild they will focus on some sand blasting , paint and plenty of hands on effort and fresh ideas on my part. End result I'm after us something  not too expensive unique but cool. Engineering is a non issue. I know the right people.

So I'm after ideas of making this into a cool fun bike. Any suggestions ??

    cheers

That's sweet walka. I have a raked front end from you on my nightrain so ill probably talk to you again for this project.
The front end is incorrect but I have the correct girder front end coming from the UK. That's the end of my concern for originality. From there I'm thinking a lowered seat. Fresh radials and new rims if these don't come up to spec. Still hunting for the correct tank mounted gear shifter. That's a must to be honest. Still deciding on which way to go paint wise. As is rat bike or a bit of paint to freshen up. Not sure. May keep the tank and frame as is. Then go new wheels and tyres. Radials. And just blast and paint the engine and exhaust. Wouldn't mind going a bigger engine to fill the frame but can't be too big. She's a light frame.
    Looking forward to it.
