You could do a lot better for ya coin,its only an 883..

Buy a couple of year old 1200 and trick it out yaself and save a few thousand.

just my .2c worth,thats all.

18K is a bit rich for an 883!

Extra's - Paint work, V&H Short Shots, AIr Filter, Headlight Fairing, Frame Lower Fairing & thats it really (of what i could see).

As said, buy a 2nd handy & do it up in your own time.

Or if your heart is set on that, go in at the end of the month & bargain hard. They could easily sell that for 14,500K & still make money.

+ 1 $18k is very expensive for an Iron, however I will be the first to say she looks good!! The real question you need to ask is a) can you do it yourself b) can you be bothered sourcing the parts and c) are you competent. If you answered no to any of those, pay the extra couple of grand and buy it and enjoy it. Realistically, the HD paint sets price around $2200-$2800 (I'm lead to believe), the pipes will be around $500 and front fairing painted shouldn't be much more than $400. You could probably find someone to paint your tins for $1200 - $1800, buy the pipes for the same price and pick up the fairing at the same time.

At your discretion mate, either way do what ever makes you happy!!

18k is a joke for that bike, could get a new Dyna for a little more.

why do people go to a dealer spend 10k on 2.5k worth of parts over the counter and then pay another 5k to fit those parts ,
think they then have a custome bike worth 15k more than they originally paid for it

Too dear I reckon, and with pipes and a/c, but no mention of a tuner?
I paid 11 for mine with 2000kms on it, have the enjoyment of personalizing it yourself

$12k for low km used black denim Iron. $700 for short shots & SE intake. $150 ea for HD fairing & chin spoiler. Grab some diy pin striping from ebay. That's what, a little over 13k + the tuner of your choice.

But I'd be putting money into the motor before anything..
