the rear piston inlet side skirt has a big cutaway in it to miss the front piston skirt on the 124 motor  not good for long distance work , on the 120R  both pistons are the same, both engine's have the same stroke lenght,

if you can afford it S&S engine cases are nice & already have the better left  main bearing & sized too suit  these bigger barrels , with a bit more meat in the right place's as well esp around the cylinder spiggots , with S&S they use what ever is the better year model design , i do hold the Screaming Eagle Track record @ 9.960 sec's factory Dyna frame treaded rear tyre  , foot gear shift only , this bike went as fast as 9.7 sec's  but was not proper recorded,     Bike is still for sale if anybody is interested she had a right up in Ozbike mag 2 pages  a little while ago                     both motors are good  i have been luckly too have raced both for a while 120R dyna & 124 Dyna

S&S cases would be nice but I am guessing they would be a jump in $$$

I also haven't read of any SE cases being an issue for strength.

thanks dyno I guessed they wouldn't be cheap.
I also want to stay with the stock black look for the motor if possible.
I am waiting on conformation on SE cases but they are also a bit hard to get hold of.
At the absolute worst I can use my 103 cases if I have to.

well it's on the way but I suspect a slow boat.

haven't seen a "what's in the box" list so not sure what bolts etc I need to pick up.
Cylinders are a little taller so I think head bolts will be included

now just need to sort the finer details.

do I use a different set of cams. lifter change to gatermans maybe. run a few thou off the heads
