I'd be taking it up with management and even the police.  In my book that is so un-professional, and even criminal.  You are so right to be beyond angry. Stealing from a corpse, what a low dog act, I hope that you get some sort of justice for what has happened. Maybe even name and shame the funeral company, this might be a worth while media story aka: ACA, or TT.

    My most sincere condolences Choppa.

Doesn't get any lower than this hey , as unthinkable as it is to most of us , it irks me to think that they all or most might do that sorta of criminal low act or worse these days , one can only imagin how much these parasites make in this way ?
Not quite the same but when my old man passed on my nephew who was pretty well tore up , wanted to and did put one of his first long held treasured gold rings on his Pops finger as a keepsake sorta gesture as part of him going along on the 'ride , it still hangs heavy in my memory if it ever went with him , I definitely had my doubts , but even more fucked is when a verbal arrangement is pre made before hand to have them or your property returned , to be treasured or handed down ?
Feelin for ya chopa , but I reckon even shaming them outa doing it to anyone else may fall on deaf ears and black hearts through the calls of 'next and only add to the scars , but then I suppose this is also used or relied on by them in getting away with such a low act !
The only way to approach this is to , like everything these days is to have it signed and in writing clearly and serve to be warning to the next victim in facing dark enough times , pinning it to the managers forehead as a reminder would as tempting and self rewarding as it may seem , may only get yourself in the shit and add to the pain , if not only just make ya feel a little better ?
Stay Strong mate , all here's thoughts are with ya !

Sorry for your loss Wayne, she must have been one hell of a woman.

Words fail me about the rings, if it's a mistake then they need to explain better than oops but if it's theft then ....... no best not to go there!

Good luck with the future, with your drive you will succeed and I'm sure we all wish you the best.

Not wanting to dwell on this too much. My sister works in the industry and I can honestly say that they show the upmost respect through the whole process even behind closed doors when the really don't have to. It impressed me greatly so I hope in this case this was an honest mistake. Stay strong mate.

Yeah you would like to think so hey , truth is ya just wouldn't know , its been reported several times from the mild to the macabre , thing is your trust is with them to do so with utmost dignity , honesty and respect shown to all involved , unacceptable and bad business and otherwise pretty ordinary either way ?
    Who can you trust ?
The other night on the news there was a story of a church pastor that found a $6500.00 diamond encrusted gold bracelet in the church car park , he got it valued and handed it in to police , he said that he believed it was a gift from god when the 2 month no claim period expired granting him ownership , then he attempted to get the rightful owners who had not only a receipt but pics and it was stamped with a code , to pay him $3500 or at least half its value to get it back , when today tonight got involved he all of a sudden seen the light and said oh ok here and returned it to the old lady who had lost it going to his church and not realised until she went to wear it the next time , at which the 2 months had just past .
One can only hope they do the right thing !

Wayne, re: the missing rings, while I thoroughly dislike gutter trash TV programmes like Today Tonight & A Current Affair, this may be a case when a liaison with the devil may do some good. You can almost see them salivating at the story: "Look here, if this BIG BAD BIKIE can be cheated, what chance do youse meek common fellows have?" This kind of adverse publicity may be the best legal way to get back at those thieves.
