     Hi

54yo female from Mid North Coast NSW. Ridden triumphs and Harleys for over 30 years but sold my Harley about 10 years ago thinking I'd probably not ride again (concentrating on raising family). having serious health issues thats made me think about my priorities and decided to go back to the things I love, riding being one of them. Both hubby and myself are on sportsters and its great to join hubby again in rides like the old days instead of pillion (never was a good pillion). love weekend rides but really looking forward t doing some big miles again and next year plan to go across to Darwin via Adelaide and Alice. cheers

Welcome aboard ch3r enjoy the ride, hope your not offended easily as  it can get fairly colourful here, good to hear you are getting your priorities in order nothing like a smile on the dial while on a Harley to chase away the bad feelings, hope all goes well with you and your old man, and if you do the big run you have planned post photos on the forum.

    Cheers Bahl.

Hi there Ch3r, welcome to the forum. Isn't it great being able to ride your own bike with your hubby. Glad that you're back in the saddle and doing what you love doing. Hope that you will have plenty of adventures together, your road trip sounds awesome. I hope that you have a great and safe time, and I look forward to seeing some pics from your adventure. Last April I too got back in the saddle after a ten year absence, and have never regretted doing it. My Softail is my very first dedicated road bike I've owned, as I've had a few road / trail bikes in the past.

    All the best,

    06 Softail.

Thank you to all for the welcome and well wishes etc...I definitely will post pics and make you all jealous haha....and no I’m not offended easily unless its directed personally and then I’ll give as good back... and yes being on the Harley definitely chases away any bad feelings..I look forward to getting a bigger Harley one day as I’m tall and finding Sportster a bit short for me but at this stage after losing half my body weight, I’m glad just to be able to hold this up...cheers and again thanks
