That muffler looks like a 2007 and up Dyna setup. ( Now that's from flawed memory FFsake !) Unless it's a photo of a pre 2001 Evo muffler ?

Gunna be trouble/modding to get them to fit any Evo I would have thought.

Pre and post 2007 the bracketing was way different across the range.

Reason I know this in October 2006 I got the first 2007 Softail Custom into Perth WA and NOTHING in the aftermarket would fit without bracket fucketeering

Gotta be the same with you trying to retrofit to any kind of Evo

I bought the s&s tapered turbo mufflers for my evo softail but can't get them to fit. The slash cut mufflers I removed have a bracket welded on which hangs about an inch under each muffler. The s&s ones don't. Any input?

Have a set of the S&S slipons , part number 106-5770 and they look like that .

I keep hearing good things about these mufflers and how much of a good all rounder they are when working with the factory headers. And if hilly is adding to those sentiments with his experience and know how after stuffing arou d with all sorts of combinations, that says even more about them.
Hilly I am curious how much noise this combination makes at startup, idle and cruising speeds. I know noise is a subjective thing without measuring it but would they wake up neighbours at startup at 6am in the morning and/or attract the wrong kind of attention?

    Hey Fatbat
I'll answer your questions based on my experience

I am curious how much noise this combination makes at startup,
They are definitly louder however not that annoying high pitched crackle
They sound very deep eg Bass drum compared to snare drum
I noticed that after putting some K's on them and with the buildup of carbon etc in them they toned down to an even more deep sound.....love em
     idle
Reasonably louder than stock but a nice deep loud, bit like a big V8

     cruising speeds.
When cruising and on light throttle (no load) they are quiet, open the throttle and it a nice deep rumble
I know noise is a subjective thing without measuring it but would they wake up neighbours at startup at 6am in the morning and/or attract the wrong kind of attention?
Probably would wake some people up but not anything like V&H etc. Go easy on the throttle and they are tame

I keep saying deep sound, thats the best thing about em

    Hi Retro, Arron and Rob

Thanks for the info about these. I reckon these mufflers are the bees knees but it looks like I've got the twin cam softail version.

Might sell these unless I can work out if they fit a twin cam dyna (mine is tar away from me so can't try). I

If anyone with a twin cam softail wants a pair in excellent condition, private msg me.

From what i could see the ones i got where the correct ones for the bike (2013 street bob) but either the bracket on the mufflers were in the wrong spot or too short(been a little while since i played around with them).
I could only fit one of the bolts on each muffler , they were ok like that and weren't loose but had i left them on i would probably have checked the bolts frequently.
