if the tax man is kind to me I am thing of putting a set of the heavy spoke wheels on my heritage. I really like the look of the 21" front wheel but does it effect the bike much compared to the standard wheel.

I'm looking for one to, not sure whether to go 52 fat spoke or 80 standard spoke 21" x 3.5.

On my research most do a front end lowering kit to drop it back to stock height, that's with Road Kings anyway. Not sure about Softails.

Dropped into VPW to look at them and clutch cables, pity they don't have them for twin disc front ends.

those fat spokes do look very nice, also thinking of putting a standard 21" wheel on until I can afford the fat spokes.

thanks Pauly, I was wondering about the difference between a standard size tyre that most people are running with their 21 compared to my standard 16. I realise that with any lower profile tyre the ride will be compromised but it has pretty soft suspension anyway. My other question was whether a 21" from any late model single disc would fit without to much trouble.

I like the look of a 21 too!!  I ended up going 18 rear 19 front, and it did affect the bike a litte, but not enough to worry me.  I can still throw it around.  LOL!!

Pauly, as I mentioned in my earlier post VPW don't do twin disc fat spoke wheels in 21". I was in there and asked during the week. You will have to go DNA or similar

this was a lot easier than I thought it would. I got the rim of gumtree that was on a 07 Softail standard, the bloke changed to a custom rim. The wheel fitted up with no mods needed at all, be interesting to see how different she feels to ride now. The rake has definitely changed a little as the front end is slightly higher now.

Nice! You will fine it will want to fall into the corners easier, so just take the first ones easy - but I like how mine handles now. Seems lighter. :)

got mine back tonight with the 21in front

I am not happy with it so i think i am going to spend the money i had for the rear shock on the rear wheel..

U dont know if its  because thr colour of thje guard or the front end needs to be lowered. I am starting to think it looks better with the stock fatty guard might make some brackets up and put it on

Yeah man - But not in a bad way.

I get a very slight wobble at about 50kph. Not violent at all, but nothing all way through to something over 110kph. ;)
