Just wondering if anyone has had their bike powder coated instead of painted, looking at a matt black for my 08 fat bob. I have a friend that does powder coating and saying it is alot better then just painting it. You opinions would be good or even some pics if you have some.

Its big in the US. Some bikes look great over there...not as common here, but most places will do it. Black is ok, I believe they havent got the range of colours here compared to US. Ive heard good reports re coating tanks. Give it a go. Might be cheaper too?

Powdercoating is great but on tin work also tank im not sure that I would go down that path, on a frame is great and small steel parts.

Black powder coating seems to loose its vivid black appearance after sometime in the sun,

Also consider if you want it removed as it is much harder to remove than ordinary paint.
