I have a 1985 1340 Evo which cuts out when warm. 10 - 20 minutes. I have tried tracking the problem through the manual but nothing shows a fault except there is no spark until she cools down. Im thinking I should just replace the original sytem all together and get a new system but am looking which one to get, Dyna , Ultima etc. Any hints would be great

Ive tried heating and cooling but very time consuming. Once she has stopped it can take up to 2 hrs before it will fire again, thats why I think I will just replace the lot instead of one bit at a time. thanks

Yep....Thye can be a real chit to track down. look for an Ultima Single Fire setup. They are around $150 on eBay or Jirah.

Correct on the Ultima unit being a programable Dyna2ki. Full programmable via switches or computer. Their coils are total chit though.
