Floating vs non brake rotor...

(Skip this section if you like)

So to cut an even longer story shorter my bike had a shudder on braking, but I was told it wasn't the rotor but something else.  On getting the bike back the problem has 99% gone, but I noticed every now and then (prolly 1 out of 100) a similar shudder happens.  Asked the guy and he said he was worried it would happen since there is a "slight" warp in the rotor too.

    (Read this please)

So, I'm told the 09 Streetbobs come with floating front rotors (then I was told they aren't true floating rotors, just a two piece), but I was told a "normal" rotor will work just fine unless I'm planning on doing track time (yeah right).

So, floating is better, but at 3 times (at least) the price, do I need them?  Does it matter?  I've done a lot of reading on floating rotors VS non floating, but I wouldn't mind opinions.

I`ve just scored a 13" 2 pce RC Components rotor for my 21 x 3.5 front Softail wheel , that will run a 6 piston PM Caliper , as I was told that solid disk can but not always will warp , and considering I was beefing up the brakes i thought might as well ... the 2 pcs aren`t as good as a full floater but are better than a solid and no where as dear as a full floater ... depending where you get them of course .
