     Hey Guys

This sux . Read below re Harley high jack.   I live not far away from there and have been told to be careful as apparently it's happening all over the place.

I tend to do most of my riding out of town in rural areas so the risk is lower imo.

What would you do if you were in the same situation ? honest answers please.

Police search for two men following theft of motorcycle - Prairiewood

    Wednesday, 12 June 2013 03:45:36 AM

Police are searching for two men following the theft of a motorcycle in Prairiewood yesterday.

About 6.45pm (Tuesday 11 June 2013), a man was riding a soft tail Harley Davidson along Corio Road, Prairiewood, when a silver Subaru WRX reportedly cut him off in traffic.

The motorcycle rider was forced to pull over to the side of the road.

Two men exited the Subaru and one of the alleged offenders threatened the victim with a knife and demanded he hand over his motorcycle. After complying with the demands, the victim was punched to his face.

One of the men got back into the Subaru and the other man mounted the victim’s motorcycle, before both vehicles were driven away.

Police were alerted to the incident and attended shortly after.

An investigation into the incident was launched and police would like to speak to two men who they think might be able to assist with their inquiries into the incident.

The first man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 183cm tall, with a thin but muscular build and about 25-30 years old. The man is further described as speaking with a New Zealand accent. He was wearing a black jumper and black beanie.

The second man is not described further.

Anyone with information about this incident should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://www1.police.nsw.gov.au/. Information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence. We remind people they should not report crime information via our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Like to find out a bit of background info. Is this bloke a Average joe public, or is he a crook who owed other crooks money.
Best defence for west sydney is to throw a kebab into oncoming traffic, then cruise away smilin'.

Hard to say how I would react in the heat of the moment, but now keep the fob in my pocket instead of on the keyring.

Think I would kick the bike over and make them earn it, better to take it home with some gravel rash than to lose it? But yeah, that's what the insurance is for.

Bike/Carjackings will become more common as today's crooks are too dumb or too lazy to hotwire stuff.

Just around the corner from me too , gotta say though , only over my dead body , I wouldn't stop and if i did i wouldn't hand over me pride and joy quite so easy , without putting up a fight , at the very least they'd have to earn it , if ya get cut ya get cut , are they really going to risk it , pulling a weapon and using one is a different story , gotta be unlucky but even more unlucky that they hit something vital , hope the maggots do get done , though they'd probably get fuck all time for doing it anyway ?
Another thing , if ya forced off to the roadside or cornered on a late model HD , get off it , turning it off as ya do so and move out of range as so the immobiliser kicks in , stopping it from being started , throw ya key fob to the shithouse or even down the nearest drain if ya have to ?
Pretty low act though and here I was today thinking this area ain't too bad , lived here all my life , obviously this can happen anytime and anywhere , it just goes to show society is getting worse or more desperate and we all must be more alert , always expect the unexpected ?
Good heads up though , Cheers

2 people I know have experienced this. One, a mate, was riding his Fatty and some Leb scum tried to hijack him exactly like this, he rides dirt bikes so employed a little MX riding in his getaway!. Another guy, was robbed of his at gunpoint at a set of lights. Fortunately for him, a few cars back were 2 D's in an unmarked car. The maggots were followed and back up called. A treasure trove of stolen bikes, jet ski's , bobcats etc was uncovered in a farm shed. As the story goes, old mate bumped into one of the cunts about 18 months later at a party. Suffice is to say a great mischief was visited upon him that night.

I guess some of us just value the 'machine a bit more than others hey , but that's a personal thing , obviously it would depend upon the situation , but as in the above story some might take their chances getting away or using the bike to their own advantage , but being 150kg , I would hope that if I was stuck with a blade I'd just explode in a bloody great mess covering the fuckers head to toe with me DNA and putting them off doing it to the next poor bugger , though some cunts are just filthy grubs anyhow and could do with a victim objecting to their criminal act every now and then , afterall it's a dangerous game they are playing right , we all gotta die some day , some of us don't have kids for various reasons and would depending on the situation choose to stand up and defend their hard earned property a bit more than the next , some til the death ?
Had me heritage written off from under me , that cunt left me and the misses for dead out cold on the side of the road and may as well of just stolen it too , maybe we deserved it or something , being hit and run , i wore the 'at fault and higher premiums , it cost me 6k on top 'plus the accessories , to replace it with the roadie which I vowed to love and cherrish til death do us part and will do my best to hang onto her , she's the one for me !
Knew of someone bashed by 6 or 7 people of middle eastern appearance , luckily he put up a good fight , as pissed as he was , as doing so and a heavy duffle coat saved him from the blade penetrating any deeper than it did , going by the 6 new button holes in the duffle coat , it wasn't through lack of trying , luckily he blocked most of the blades with his arms being cut and a few even penetrating the doubled section of duffle coat where it buttons up and still penetrating his stomach and side a centimetre or two , besides going to the doc's , didnt report it , he virtually shrugged it off and got back to the daily grind , besides a few vivid nightmares was luckily , ok ?
Anyway like I said , good heads up , maybe the rest of us will be more vigilant now and while expecting the unexpected , add 'that one to the list of potential hazzards hey ?

Hmmm2 , should work that way with no fob in range , no go , but the immobiliser won't activate until the bikes shut down and then it won't allow it to re start without the fob in range ?

Everyone to their own but for me I might get my ass kicked but I`m going down swinging ... and while I hate insurance companies as much as the next , don`t ya think this will be just another excuse for the robbing insurance companies to jack up premiums by saying Harley`s are more of a theft risk ... which they do already anyhow .

    Tim .

solution found .... I've attached my fishing knife to the rear mudguard, cops can't say anything as it's a Rambo fishing knife . The beauty of it is you can't really miss the thiefing prick if you start swinging it at him , lol.  Might put one on the other side just incase i drop it in the heat of the moment

My thoughts exactly 92 Fatboy , the ol'thats not a knife , Crocadile Mick style !
Though I was picturing the ' machete I use to cut down me banana trees as being more appropriate , or maybe a shortenned .410 , same mounting spot behind the roadies pannier , but yeah only as a last resort and yeah pauly that would be a bit of a pickle bringing a knife to a gun fight , what's ya chances hey ?

    Gold !

Never bring a knife to a gunfight!

Yes Pauly , especially if your not prepared to go through with it , btw I was only kidding about the knife attached to bike as I have no intention of arming myself for the just incase highjack event. Fucking coppers would arrest ya on the spot !

Like others have said awareness is the key. I will keep in the back of my head though that if a couple dudes try's to cut me off deliberately there not stopping me to tell me the tail lights arn't working.

Hey fella's , living virtually in the area where this bike 'jacking took place last wednesday and since reading this thread I have been subconsciously keepin an eye out for a silver Rexy , 6:30am this morning I took me roadie down for a new battery and a winter service at the local dealers and on the way came across an accident scene down on (for those that know it) Greystanes Rd , north bound just before the Old Prospect Rd intersection , a few table top tow trucks a few police chasers , one damaged and a silver Rexy that was pretty bashed around with the most of one side caved in , up on the footpath pointing in the wrong direction , into a pole , I'm not sure if this might be the same Silver WRX used in the jacking but it was only about 5 minutes from where it happened and looked a lot like it had just been chased and taken out by the cop car ?
Anyway it made me think of this thread , i got the feelin it may be the one involved , who knows hey ?
    Cheers

Also be cautious of people posing at under cover cops. Flashing lights are not that hard to hook up. No uniform then they can get fucked!
