Hey, I've just got an 07 sportster 1200 custom.. Has pipes, intake and computer, but still looks pretty stock.. I want to make it look a bit tougher, plus replace some of the stock parts that are a little scratched (mirror, brake pedal).. Suggestions for aesthetic mods? and good Australian websites that sell aftermarket parts? Or is ebay the go? Cheers Simon
Welcome to the forum Simon. How about a pic of your ride?
The sky is the limit with mods on a sporty. Pipes, intake, seat & bars are where a lot of blokes start. Getting it all to look "right" & is the hard part. Then there's the function side of it.
I've bought some gear from the US, dollar is weaker now but still some good deals out there. I'd be all for buying local if they didn't jack the prices up like they do.
Try these for starters.

Slap.
Thanks man, will check those sites out.. Have seen a few pics of sportys with a tank lifter kit, makes it look pretty tough.. but wonder if I would have to move the speedo tho...
Will not bother with tank lift for the same reason. Thanks for those links Slap will have a look later.
I like the chrome strip.
Surprised NOMADA didn't say how good the bike looks as it's just like his?
I think thats held on with double sided tape like the refelectors.
I dont know what the filler cap will look like. If you do, post up a pic. My bike is same colour as yours, and i've been thinking about doing the same.
Oh, awsome looking bike too.
Heres mine
One of my favourite XL-C's..

Sportster customs are one of the few bikes (especially sportsters) I think look "meaner" with a two up seat with the back rest - even panniers.
