There is a group of as in Perth that buy a lot of stuff from the USA with a set list of sellers. This time we dcided to venture out side our list to DIRECT HARLEY PARTS, after speaking with the owner on the phone, he assured us the world and all they delivered were headaches. Spoke again on the phone and got the old two step shuffle. So you guys out there in cyberspace be warned DIRECT HARLEY PARTS will mess you around.
Hey Robbo, sorry to contradict but I am committed to seeing both sides of an argument aired!!! As it happens, I just bought a set of Vance and Hines Big Radius for my Rocker (Aus$775 landed) and also a Thundermax with Auto-tune (Aus$905 landed) from directharleyparts.com and had absolutely no problems at all. Both items arrived within about 8 days or so and everything is just fine.
I was lucky that the Oz dollar was about 92 c and the time and it has now dropped a bit.
I would not hesitate to use them again.
I never spoke to anyone on the phone but I did get pretty quick responses to my emailed questions.
I hope your problems are resolved soon with the agreement of both parties.

Good on ya Kiteman, its good to see they have one satisfied customer, but when you talk to someone and they say there is no problem and once they have your money and tell you there is now a 3 week delay and that was 6 weeks ago, and then you have to prompt them to send you stuff, sorry that does ot work for me, but hey your happy and that great!
I must say that most of the time the responses to simple questions to US suppliers are responded with VERY brief answers. I realise that they get lots of queries but it's frustrating when they only read the first question and not the second one!
Also, with Chicago HD who are generally excellent in most ways, they do have a habit of holding a nearly complete order for a long time awaiting one item, when you already told them to cancel that item if its not available for a long time and you'll re-order it later on.
