Hi Barnzy, thanks for the pics. They look bloody awesome, way better than original, and certainly saves money on buying chrome bits to cover them. Were they done on the bike or were they removed from the triple trees first?  Great job, Thanks for sharing.

Great job there Barnzy ... was looking at first few pics and thought Fark , there not that good but got to last couple of pics and Bang , what a difference ... good on ya ... I will be looking at doing the same as local dealers inform me that 2008 Softails don't have any Chrome lower legs available ... now how many brews did you really go through , Lol .

I did the same when I had my streetbob the end result is brilliant ,well worth the time & kinda relaxing when slurping back several cold "Millers Draft ". but now ya gotta keep up the polishing every couple weeks. easier than handing over big dollars for chrome ones good job

Looks great. I put clear contact paper on my new street glide and they have pitted underneath that so this may well be the next project. Good photos

Looks great and its easy to achieve with a bit of elbow grease :-)

Polished alloy looks so much better than chrome if you ask me, but that is just my opinion.

Anyone know of a decent metal polisher in Melbourne? Want to get my covers done, doing my forks myself, but I reckon the covers would look better done by a pro...

LOL, what a cracker Pauly. Hey thanks Barnzy, I got same dish washing detergent, might upset the cook if use it though, so will use some of my car wash liquid, and another great reason to get rid of those ugly reflectors.

Looks great. Not had to bother much on my springer, most stuff is chrome anyway. But what about spraying a clear coat over that to maintain the finish? Viable?

Great job Barnzy, I did the same with a set of wheels off my sportsbike and they came up a treat as well using different grades of wet and dry but it took quite a while

Wow that does make a massive difference and improvement hey , for the amount of time honoured pitting they had in them , they came up sweet as , nice ride there man , with legs like that she won't know herself !
Dig the way alloy comes up from dull and pitted to bright and flawless , did ya do that all by hand or employ some mechanical help too , I used to paint when I was younger and used sponge buffs to rejuvenate alloy mags with some awesome results but fiddly bits by hand is a pretty rewarding job hey , nice work fella's !
