    Looking for a new brakes front and rear any ideas would be great

    don't the late bikes have brembo 4 spots as std gear maybe upgrade the pads to lyndalls for starts thay make a big difference buy them self's

    ebay cheap as pads.......wear out quicker but dont hurt ur disks

    Depends on how much your budget is ... anything from different pads to braided brake lines for firmer feel or go the way I have and get a 13" rotor and a 6 piston caliper to suit ... the 13" gives more braking area ... it was definitely one think I noticed coming from a few years on Jap bikes , just how bad the Softails front brake was .

    And I have read a few threads on this forum as well as others that say you don't need to beef up the brakes at all ... well all I can say is these people have never ridden a modern Jap or European bike ... they are all lighter , faster , handle a tad better to say the least and nearly all have dual front disk ... so why wouldn't ya want to have a sightly better front brake .

    Don`t get me wrong I absolutely LOVE my 2008 Softail Custom but like I said , nothing wrong in knowing you have the stopping power if needed ... just my 2 cents worth .
