I'm looking at buying a 1943 WLA. Looks in original condition. (Imagine a 70 year old bike) Needless to say it needs a resto.

Runs and has 27,000 miles on the clock.

What's the going rate for one of these?

Any experts out there or does anyone know of someone who is into these bikes?

    Thanks

     Mags

Was watching an Army 42 older resto on ebay for 25K.
Looks like it's gone now. A few manuals, engines and other parts still on.

Great project if you go through with it.

Nice  bike, if I ever purchased another Harley it would be a flat head or a knuckle :-)

Decent WL's pull good money - on face value $10k would be a bargain.

Given the engine number, why would it be a '43?

I had a WLA back in the '80's and that's the first bike I ever regretted selling . . . .wish I still had it.

    Good luck with it.

So after a while of waiting, looks like the deal is back on the table.

Does anyone know of anyone who could check this bike out for me?

My problem is I'm in the NT and the bike is located at Bonogin QLD, inland from Gold Coast/Coolangatta.
Happy to pay for their time.
Just want to know if it runs and a general look over.
