I'm looking at buying a 1943 WLA. Looks in original condition. (Imagine a 70 year old bike) Needless to say it needs a resto.
Runs and has 27,000 miles on the clock.
What's the going rate for one of these?
Any experts out there or does anyone know of someone who is into these bikes?
Thanks
Mags
Nice bike, if I ever purchased another Harley it would be a flat head or a knuckle :-)
I sold a 1943 WLC in that condition running for $7500. wish i kept it now
Decent WL's pull good money - on face value $10k would be a bargain.
Given the engine number, why would it be a '43?
I had a WLA back in the '80's and that's the first bike I ever regretted selling . . . .wish I still had it.
Good luck with it.

Well, I'll be buggered
So after a while of waiting, looks like the deal is back on the table.
Does anyone know of anyone who could check this bike out for me?
My problem is I'm in the NT and the bike is located at Bonogin QLD, inland from Gold Coast/Coolangatta. Happy to pay for their time. Just want to know if it runs and a general look over.
