Hey fellas, can anyne sort me out on what the red light under my tacho is on my '12 Wide Glide. Cheers, Quirky

 

Your owners manual will tell you what the light is and what it means.

ER ok then just read down the page you do not have a manual. Why not? the bike is still new.

Decribe what it looks like and someone on here will have one to look up. 

The red light is the engine check lamp. Normally comes on for about 4 seconds when ignition is first turned on while the engine management system runs self diagnostics. Owners manual says if the light comes on any other time to see a HD dealer, possibly indicating a problem.

 Hilly, it's just a red dot like light below the 3 on my tacho. It comes on when you switch the console to on for a few seconds but some times I see it on when I'm riding. 

 FlHuTChU unfortunately I didn't get a manual off the mob I bought it off. Woulda been handy. Like I was saying to Hilly its a red round little light that comes on when you turn the console on but usually goes out after a few seconds. I been noticing it sometimes when I'm riding then it goes away. Had my blinkers rewired, maybe that's doing it??
